You might be surprised to see a static image in our featured ad from KitchenAid this month, but it’s part of an ad set containing both static images and video. Why? Ad sets actually perform better when they include a mix of static and motion creative assets, not just one or the other. This ad is also a good example of a two-pronged approach showcasing both product and lifestyle elements. Each has its advantages, whether that’s spotlighting specific features or allowing a potential customer to imagine using the product, and this ad effectively features both. Evocative, aspirational lifestyle copy is combined with a strong call to action that includes pricing. In addition, the ad also highlights free shipping, potentially thwarting foreseeable consumer hesitation around a major appliance purchase.
